You make excellent points and yes countries like Sierra Leone and many others stand to benefit significantly from being a part of the information economy.
I think one should also look at the reasons why many poor countries remain poor despite billions of dollars in loans and aid.
There is an even darker underbelly to white supremacy that preys on these poor countries, thus maintaining them in a never-ending cycle of poverty. I am talking about the exploitation of natural resources in these countries by western companies, the fixing of prices on commodities such as cocoa (done mainly by white dominant countries).
I could go on forever, but suffice to say that white supremacy is one of the reasons countries and passports are placed in a hierarchy in which whatever is white has more values over whatever is brown or black. This whole system of exploitation will be stopped because black and brown countries will no longer sit back and accept this.
